This position will be responsible for the design and delivery of solutions for our client’s web portal. Responsibilities include partnering with business stakeholders on portal strategy, designing solutions, leading development efforts with immediate team and vendor partners, supporting the global Company teams in their development activities, interfacing with internal IT application, middleware, and infrastructure teams, overseeing system issues, and conducting RCAs, manage small to mid-size projects that span across multiple domains. In addition, this position will require partnering with Enterprise Architects and Solution architects to ensure that the product stays technically current and be a pioneer in adopting the established architecture strategies. Flexibility and adaptability to a variety of responsibilities, as well as the ability to understand and adopt current IT technologies, will be crucial to the success of this position. The candidate will possess good interpersonal skills, and be able to understand the end-user/customer experience and use that understanding in the design/development of solutions that improve customer experience. Must have extensive experience in Java Object-Oriented software design concepts / J2EE technologies.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership support to the immediate team for their development activities. Provide team member support to the global and brand partner teams in their development activities. (30%)

  • Design and drive the implementation of next-generation IT solutions in alignment with overall IT and Business strategic direction. Work with IT and Business partners to gather and document business requirements and translate them to design solutions. (30%)

  • Oversee and address system issues and tickets by performing root cause analysis and eliminating repeat problems. (20%) Manage small to medium projects that span across single or multiple domains. (20%)

 

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. at the time of application. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.

  • This position requires a minimum of 7+ years of overall work experience. Preferred experience includes:

  • Information Technology - 7+ years of experience

 

Education:

Bachelor's Degree is required, Master's Degree is preferred. Recommended majors include:

• Computer/Information Science
