The responsibility of the Middleware Solutions Architect is to act as a Consultant on application and infrastructure development projects with regard to middleware infrastructure issues and operational concepts. Additionally responsible to design business-specific solutions, while leveraging the standard services provided by the TAF Partners. The Solution Architect orchestrates the use/ consumption of the Infrastructure middleware services and involves Technology Domain & Innovation architects on demand for non-standard service requests and projects.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve business demands of customer units by designing business-specific solutions and translating them as standard services from-TAF Partner (solution design only for exceptional cases) (30%)

  • Support the Business Partner Manager and act as a consultant in addressing any technical questions related to the services offered by TAF partner (20%)

  • Orchestrate the use/ consumption of standard services from the TAF Partner platform and other IT related services (15%)

  • Supervise the implementation process from a technical perspective. Support on "last level" for complex environmental issues based on deep application and platform know-how (15%)

  • Act as interface to Technology Domain & Innovation Architects and Portfolio Management to update the service catalog (10%)

  • Analyze and specify technical requirements for infrastructure that require profound expert knowledge (10%)

 

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. at the time of application. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.

This position requires a minimum of 5+ years of overall work experience. Preferred experience includes:

• Information Technology - 5+ years of experience

• Strategy - 1 year of experience

 

Education:

High School Diploma/(GED) is required, Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Recommended majors include:

• Mandatory Knowledge:

? Deep Know-how on IBM MQ & ESB, RabitMQ, JBoss, Apache Kafka, Tomcat, Red Hat Fuse Connectors. API Management, Linux and Apache Kafka

? Architecture know-how of Servers, VM, Container, Network and Firewall

? Expert knowledge of Kubernetes/Docker and CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins, Git, artifactory)

? Cloud Design Patterns (e.g. Hybrid Cloud) and architectures (e.g. IaaS, PaaS, DBaaS)

? Knowledge regarding requirements of the application design • Knowledge of IT Security controls, technologies, and patterns

? Project management skills and knowledge of creative methods in agile environments (i.e. "design thinking", Scrum, SAFE, etc.)

? Ability to review complex architecture blueprint and elaborate it to TAF as we as a business partner
